Photo shoot Lewes Priory 1st August 2022

Updated: May 15

Vix was chomping at the bit to do another shoot and suggested Lewes Priory.

As this was taking place during Pride, I decided I would paint one of my dresses in the Pride flag colours and model this one myself! We at Cath Adam @ The Bride Shop want everyone to know we want anyone and everyone to feel amazing and look gorgeous on their special day.

If you would like to book an appointment with us, contact us today and we’ll help you find the perfect bridal wedding dress for your perfect day.

I met Laura for the first time who makes stunning head crowns, @laura.loves.flowers she made the Pride one on the shoot, she’s fantastic! Very lucky to have been given it for my window display back at the shop too! Thank you, Laura!

I asked one of my plus-size brides to model for me and this is a lovely story of how this came about. Naomi came to me with her sister last year looking for her dress. She’s plus size and was nervous initially. We found her perfect dress and she was over the moon, she felt amazing and really enjoyed her time with us.

When she came in to collect it, she told me that she had had a dream that I had asked her to model for me, she was laughing when she said it and it was at that stage I knew I would ask her one day. 3 weeks later when we were planning the Lancing shoot I called her and told her dreams do sometimes come true. She couldn’t believe it, she was over the moon!

We had a new dress that I had designed arrive in the boutique, a really pretty floaty dress with sporadic appliques so the lace wasn’t too heavy. It has sleeves and an illusion back with buttons to the top. I wanted Naomi to model this one for me.

We had a handful of models at Lewes, a couple of girls who had modelled before and the others hadn’t but loved the day and being part of a fun day with fun people. We always have models of all sizes on our shoots showing brides’ size doesn’t matter. Everyone should feel amazing on their special day.

So thank you to all the models, Amelia, Stephanie, Anita, Naomi, Lois, Ellie, Sacha, Hrissy, Shannon, and not forgetting little Lilah! You all looked amazing.

Lilah wore a tiny little flower girl dress that one of my seamstresses Jo made from a dress I was getting rid of, she didn’t have a pattern, she’s just brilliant!

Charlie from @cchandmadeveilsandcapes didn’t stop running around all day making sure her handmade veils looked immaculate and floaty! We took a few takes and the outcome from the amazing Vix @vp_photography_worthing @vpphotographyweddingssussex was faultless. Breath-taking photos yet again!

The make up artists Shannon @shannonglenistermua and Cerys @hairandmediamakeupbycerys worked all day. Cerys did a great job on my Pride lips!

We had a real couple, Sacha and Hrissy who were amazing too, fab having a real couple so you get the chemistry, getting really natural photos.

After a long hard day not stopping, the dream team smashed it once again! At Cath Adam @ The Bride Shop, we are so proud of everyone that took part in this bridal wedding dress shoot and can’t wait for the next one!

Thank you to all involved, we really have some amazing photos to share.

Now pass me those bubbles!!
